Use when a purely procedural full-bleed ASCII field with no source material, three noise octaves interfering into drifting bands that the pointer warps outward and lets relax back; pick background-ascii-dither instead when an actual image or media source has to drive the glyphs, or background-ascii-wake when the pointer's persistent decaying trail is the whole effect rather than a momentary warp.
